When Things Don’t Go Your Way

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Rom 8:28) When things are going well, this is easy to hear and believe. But when things don’t go our way, when we are cheated, when life seems to be turned upside down, these words might not be all that comforting. And yet the truth remains, and we can and should hold fast to it. Even the best evangelist will not see everyone saved. Jesus, the absolute standard, preached the perfect gospel, and yet not all he spoke with were converted. So when things don’t go your way, there are some things we can learn during those circumstances and more importantly from our text this morning.
